For more than twenty-five years I was a teacher before becoming a full-time artist. Looking back, I don’t think my job has really changed. I still spend my days encouraging curiosity and helping people discover they’re capable of more than they first believed. These days I simply do it with paper, paint and flowers instead of classrooms.

My artwork is inspired by gardens, not because I’m a particularly good gardener (I’m definitely not!), but because I love what gardens represent. They remind us that beautiful things don’t appear overnight. They grow with time, patience and care.

I believe creativity works in much the same way.

Whether I’m creating original artwork or teaching someone to use a Gelli plate for the very first time, my hope is always the same: that you’ll leave feeling inspired to make a little more room for creativity in your own life.
